Every space can look better and get a better sense of presence.
As far as I can remember, creating and painting equipment, colors and materials have mesmerized me. Drawing and creating something with my hands have been the only activities that I can dedicate all my passion and concentration to.
In the middle school years, by learning about literature, history, critical thinking and the art of design and construction; I realized that architecture is also a combination of all my fields of interest. I prospected my profession: I will be an architect!
During my undergraduate years, by learning and following the history of western architecture, history of Iran’s architecture, theoretical basics, and aesthetics more professionally, and reading articles about Neuroscience and architecture, I strongly believed that the mentioned Paradise is not a poetic concept, but a forgotten approach in the chaos of modernization, technology, and people’s lust for more. Nevertheless, we see so many architectures with extraordinary appearances and high constructing technologies, but empty of meaning, sensation and unresponsive to sublime human needs.
In addition, by comprehending Iran’s diverse climatic zones, and the vast arid region within it, I was in awe of the sustainability and environmental friendliness of the traditional architecture all around my country.
By getting inspiration of all my home country’s valuable heritage, either semantic and aesthetical or by learning its sustainable techniques of designing and construction and also by taking inspirations of modern practices in architecture, I acknowledge that “Form” does not follow “Function”, but it is the better half of it, and “Ornament” is not a crime, whereas it is an expression of human’s complicated psyche. Therefore, architecture, in this chaotic and consuming oriented world, should be designed for human essence and not for robots of blood and flesh.
