I am a writer and translator. I have experience working in nonprofit arts and human rights organizations, and have taught Spanish and English language classes in New York City, South Florida and Paraguay. I translate and write grant applications for projects looking for funding from UN agencies, foundations, and international cooperation organizations. I translate and write budgets, follow-up reports, articles, and other documents and media related to gender and development, human rights, and women rights. I edit theses, journalistic and academic papers in English and Spanish. I am a literature major, am interested in editing and translating literature, fiction, arts and cultural materials and books. I have experience in video production and documentary filmmaking and am currently working on a documentary project about women’s situation in Paraguay, with a focus on women’s rights. I have traveled extensively to Paraguay and Latin America over the past 28 years and am currently writing a blog based on my impressions and experiences in Paraguay.
