For the last couple of years, as a sub-editor in a reputed English daily, I have been into extensive editing, rewriting and translation of news articles as well as features. I like ripping through complex sentences, breaking those into pieces if I have to, and metamorphosing entire sentences in order to make the reading experience and transitions smoother. I do these within permissible limits of course. I have this annoying habit of picking out and correcting mistakes in others' works. Just trying to monetize it.
