I have worked as a receptionist for the past 8 years. I worked for a large physical therapy company for 5 1/2 years, and for the last 2 1/2 years, I've been working for an Ophthalmologist's office. I'm very comfortable with data entry, dealing with insurance companies, both medical and vision plans and talking to customers/patients over the phone to help them with whatever it is that they need help with. Customer service is something that I take very seriously and I always strive to make sure I do everything in my power to ensure that the customer or patient is completely satisfied with my service and that all of their questions or concerns were addressed appropriately.
Work Terms
I am currently working for an Ophthalmologist's office full time as a front desk receptionist. Depending on the situation or offer, I would strongly consider leaving my current job in order to pursue an online position full time, as long as I would be able to ensure that my income would be the same, or more, then my current income. I would also strongly consider a part time position that I would be able to do in addition to my current job. My hours at my current job are pretty much set and typically are the same every day. I currently work 8am-5pm Monday through Thursday, and 8am-2:30pm on Friday's. On a rare occasion, I have to stay at work after 5pm if we still have patients in the office being seen. But 95% of the time I am able to leave right around 5pm every day. So if I were to be offered a part time position, I would be able to begin working by 6pm Monday through Thursday's and anytime after 3pm or 4pm on Fridays. During the weekends, I'd be more then willing to work any hours that may be needed.
