Social science data analyst turned freelance writer
I have always loved to write. Researching and writing school papers came naturally, and guided my decision to study Communications and Journalism as an undergraduate.
Gradually my interests pulled me toward social sciences, and into work as a research analyst in law enforcement. I spend the years after graduate school analyzing data and researching topics useful in police operations. I have prepared reports for line officers, police executives, decision makers, and the public over the years.
I still enjoy data analysis and hope to use the research skills I've developed over the years to launch a career as a freelance writer.
Work Terms
I am primarily interested in less than full time short- and long-term positions and contract work.
I'm just getting my feet wet, so salary requirements are flexible.
I work CST at various times, but generally between 9am and 6pm. Turnaround times will vary depending on the project, but I will do my best to estimate needs ahead of time and communicate progress.
