My name is Autumn Micketti, I am a huge music nerd and I believe that music has the power to connect the entire world despite our differences.

My dream career is to be a music journalist. I grew up reading publications like "Relix" and "Rolling Stone" and discussing music with my dad. Listening to music and talking about various artists is second nature to me, and I get a thrill out of watching new artists emerge on the scene. I’d like to do multiple things through many different platforms, i.e. radio, written interviews, show and album reviews. I am also interested in artist management and radio promotion. I want to help smaller groups/artists get into the spotlight.

I have curated and maintained a personal blog since 2013 which covers topics from album and show reviews to my own travels around the globe. The blog has shifted more into an online resume where I keep all of my articles that I've written over the years. I was able to cover more music and interview more artists during my year at the University of Brighton in the UK which helped me grow as a writer and an individual.

Alongside my BA in Communication, I am focusing on Social Media and Public Engagement. I chose this focus because it will support me in moving with the times as journalism shifts to online. I have taken several courses on multiple media outlets such as Twitter and Instagram.

Work Terms

Currently I am available to work Wednesday - Sunday from 9 - 5. At the end of September I will be starting school again and will be more available on the weekends and a few days during the week.
