A 20-Year old woman who has a strong potential to learn, grasp and discover new
aspects of Science, and involve in a wide range of experiences, which often benefit
others and the community. Lived for 3 years in a boarding school, STEM high
school, with 120 girls from all over Egypt which provided her with the skills
needed to fit in any new environment and cope with different mindsets, and this
is where her curiosity started young. Volunteered at Maadi Stem Fab Lab which
helped in developing technical skills through operating various machines to
implement electronics projects.
Currently enrolled as a senior I student in Computer engineering in Nile
university, where she worked on broadening her skills: socially and technically.
While working for a year as a junior TA in MATH-111 and MATH-112, she was able
to develop communication skills through teaching younger students, then she
shifted her interest towards the market through working with startups and
participating in coding activities, especially when they address a real community
problem, and ended up working as a part-time mobile app-developer at Cantina
company inside Nilepreneurs incubator which is now a company at production state.
Besides the academic interests, Aya was an active participant in Robotics
competitions who won the 2nd place in Robocub Juniors competition and being
qualified to Asia finals 2017. Also secured the 1st place in “reboot the earth"
competition provided by united nations technology Innovation labs to be qualified
to represent Egypt in new York in the youth climate action summit. Aya’s efforts
are mostly contributing to make the most of a passionate future career in
Computer Engineering field
