Since 2008, I have been working for leading translation and localization companies as a full-time translator and a freelancer. Some of the projects I worked on include the Marrakech Biennale catalogue, Cairo International Cinema Festival Bulletin and reports, Doc McStuffins full season, documentaries for National Geographic, Jojo Circus full season, Art Attack episodes, HP and Apple manuals, Windows 7 localization, IKEA purchase guides and many other brochures, articles and films. My translation of a short story collection by Lydia Davis was published in 2016 by National Book Organization, in addition to translations of short stories from English into Arabic that appeared in literary journals. I have also worked as a research assistant from 2016 to 2018.
I have a BA in English Language and Literature from Cairo University 2008, certificate of achievement in screen translation from the American University in Cairo 2010 and MA in audiovisual translation from the Translation and Interpreting Institute, HBKU 2018.
