ICAEW qualified Strategic Corporate Financial Controller previously working in businesses in excess of $1bn turnover, with extensive experience in Performance Management & Financial Reporting and managing distinct projects bringing operational efficiencies and improvements to risk management and compliance which added $75m+ to annual profit.

Projects included transformation of Finance functions using outsourcing and big data analytics to reduce headcount and improve forecasting/budgeting; developing cultural change remotely across Finance teams internationally to improve compliance and financial control; improving c-suite stakeholder visibility of risk management using KPIs.

Currently working freelance providing strategy consulting, accounting, bookkeeping, management information and tax services to corporate and self-employed clients in the Tech industry, the Pharma/Medical industry & the not-for-profit sector, and personal clients. For example, advised e-commerce platform provider on pricing strategy to improve profitability and growth; redesigning accounting and management information system of a major charity to improve management of cashflow.

Work Terms

Flexible hours, available 7 days a week, can offer daily rate (typically from £500 per day, but can discount for not-for-project clients) or fixed fee projects (from £750 for standard bookkeeping VAT, Income Tax filings for self-employed clients).
