In a previous role, I worked as a proofreader and translator, where my main responsibilities included reviewing and translating various documents, such as articles, reports, and marketing materials. My experience revolved around ensuring that the translated content was both accurate and culturally appropriate while maintaining the original message’s intent and tone.

One memorable project involved translating a series of technical documents from Spanish to English for a manufacturing company. The texts were complex, filled with industry-specific jargon, and required a deep understanding of both languages. I started by carefully translating the content while ensuring the technical terminology was precise. After the initial translation, I meticulously proofread each section to catch any inconsistencies, grammatical errors, or awkward phrasing. I also cross-referenced the translated content with the original to guarantee it retained the intended meaning.

In addition to this, I collaborated closely with subject matter experts to verify the accuracy of technical terms, especially those unique to the industry.
