Freelance creative with portrait and product photography experience
Ever since I was little I remember begging to borrow my older sister’s camera. At first I would beg to get a few shots of her valuable film roll. When I was a little older, she’d let me use her DSLR camera to take photos of objects around the house. I’d walk around the neighborhood, pretending that the power line towers were the Eiffel tower and trying to catch a sunset behind it. I took pictures of the chains on the swingset or a fly sitting on the playhouse. My favorite subject to photograph was people though. I’d pose my younger siblings and plan outfits and settings for our shoot. We even brought props like suitcases or flowers.
I learned about focus, lighting, and “golden hour” through these experiences.
Later, travel photography became my favorite. Capturing a feeling when we’d rock-climbed the top of Chinaman’s Hat, getting a candid when we boarded the Subway in NYC, finding the best angle of the Eiffel tower in real life, making the most of a crowded beach in Miami were some of my favorite challenges.
In light of my experience, I'm looking for ways to use my photography skills in a remote-work environment. I strive to maximize natural light and avoid overly post-processing my photos. I'm open to editing projects and product shoots as I am very comfortable using Adobe Lightroom.
I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy doing it. I’d love to hear from you!
