Flexible and Organized Office/Project Manager, Editor/Proofreader, Researcer/Writer
I have 30 years of professional experience in an administrative capacity as an assistant either to a department, single individual, or multiple individuals in separate departments. I have also worked as an office manager, responsible for not only the smooth operation of the office, various accounting functions, and supervision of staff, but also as an assistant at the same time; five years of office management experience being from a virtual office in my home, and five years of other virtual work experience. I currently work virtually as an independent social media consultant and have all that is needed in order to have a successful virtual office.
I have obtained a Bachelor of Science in Human Services Management, and have decided to pursue a Master's degree in Human Services. Along with my professional experience, my college experience has allowed me to sharpen my research and editing skills, and has allowed me the opportunity to lead teams from four to seven members. I also have volunteer experience as the Alabama state director for a national nonprofit organization, where most of my work was conducted virtually. Additional volunteer experience includes working as the Director of State Programs and being a co-founder of Alabama Reproductive Rights Advocates, advocating for women in the areas of reproductive rights, health care, domestic violence, and economic issues. I want to bring the knowledge and insight gained through these various experiences to a forward thinking, stable organization.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, cooking, travel, the arts, and spending time with friends and family.
