Ghostwriter/Editor/Video Editor
I have always written and taken photos, or shot videos, as a hobby and enjoyed it. So, after retiring from a 20+ year consulting engineering career, working creatively was natural for me to stay busy. Through word of mouth, I successfully completed numerous projects for clients involving things like novels, novellas, marketing brochures, PowerPoint presentations, resumes, biographies, website content, blogs, articles, and screenplays.
Those initial experiences with clients reinforced my love of creating and made it a natural transition for me, which began my new, full-time second career as a writer and editor. Since then, the larger completed projects include dozens of novels (e.g., two cozy mystery series and a western series among many others), multiple screenplays, multiple biographies, textbooks, short stories, etc. But the blog pieces and articles also poured in consistently, and I wrote countless pieces of content.
Also, over my years as a writer, the visual medium (e.g., YouTube) became more important, and video editing of certain projects like podcasts and shorts became part of my work for repeat clients. In response, demand grew for my video editing services, and my experience expanded. Since 2015, I have cut and edited podcast episodes, shorts, product marketing, trailers, animations/logos, and tutorials/informational pieces, etc. and my experience as a writer helps immensely in crafting videos that tell unique, compelling stories that engage the audience.
MY BUSINESS PHILOSOPHY:
- Client needs are always the top priority.
- I meet deadlines, even the tight ones.
- Making a deadline is meaningless if quality suffers. So, every piece is crafted to be unique, creative, and, most importantly, compelling.
- Each finished project must move readers with the tone and voice you want.
- I often interview clients or use provided notes and outlines if that is preferred to understand their vision for the final piece. Once it is created, comments and revisions are always welcome. I will not rest until you are happy with the end product.
Work Terms
Payment and deadlines are set per project.
I work seven days a week and try to make myself available whenever you need me.
On large projects, milestone payments are preferred.
