Work Terms
My process is usually this: we discuss your project in detail, I describe how I'd approach illustrating it, once we are on the same page there, I send you mockups. They're rough and done quickly for reference of proportion, placement and overall composition. If a texture or shape is of particular importance to you, I'll include a detail or two that illustrate a texture/shape you have to have right. Mockups are not part of the hourly rate.
When I give you a quote, I will not charge you more than the quote, period. It may be less, but chances are I'll spend more time than I quote working on the project.
If you'd like me to digitize an image to add effects in photoshop or illustrator, or so you can edit them afterward, that will be discussed and included in the quote.
Hard copies (the actual drawings) for work on paper will be mailed to you free of charge, within the US. If it's outside the US, that will probably depend on the size of the project.
