I am a computer engineer with the creativity and organization of a chef, the subtlety of a gardener, and the finesse of a fencer.
I worked my way from garcon de cuisine to sous chef in the culinary arts industry before dedicating myself to engineering. After over seven years in the fast paced, high stress environment of haute cuisine, I developed skills of organization, precision, management, and teamwork. All these skills transfer directly to the engineering world.
Additionally I have maintained a thriving vegetable garden nearly every year since I was a child. The patience and subtlety needed to grow a healthy garden and maintain a healthy local ecosystem have cultivated a mentality of no-zero-cost. Every decision we make, wether in the garden or in software will have side effects, it is better to prepare and utilize them, than to be subject to their effects.

I prefer to stay in constant contact while under contract with very deliberate terms and deliverables.
