10 years ago, I left my home country to pursue a goal: working in advertising and marketing. Why? Because in my first years of work experience, I was sitting next to the marketing department, and I simply fell in love listening to the type of conversations that they use to have.

I started my professional journey working in a big regional corporation in Colombia, one of the best places to work, but for me, that was the best school that I’ve ever could have. I learned the importance of customer service, treating every interaction with my peers as they were clients, all for a common goal, excellence in every detail of the operation. I also mastered organizational, communicational, and management skills, that at that moment I didn’t realize were so valuable.

Then I moved to Argentina to attend an MBA in advertising and marketing. The most valuable learning from that experience was being conscious of my high adaptable nature, my persistence and ambition that helped me (not only on those days but every day) to wake up every morning with a purpose, that a lot of times needs to be reinvented. I learned that I need to believe and know that the company that I work for is aligned with my values, and to see my peers as much that my work team and treat them like family. That makes a big difference when the team has to go through harsh times.

Life brought me to America, where I’ve been working on a non-profit organization, and as it’s expected I have to wear different hats every day. My time in this organization helped me to get confidence in my customer experience skills, but also has shown me that I can help others using and finding passions: marketing and graphic design.

I'm available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. M-V and 7 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Saturdays.
