I am a freelance Spanish Translator with a great desire to contribute my strong language skills to help businesses and organizations to connect with the Latino community.

I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, better known as the “island of enchantment.” Since I was exposed to the English language at a very young age, I was able to master it with ease by the time I reached my High School years.

After attending my freshman year of college at University of Puerto Rico, I moved to the United States to attend college at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science.

A few years later I got married and worked on-call for over ten years in the Clinical Lab field, trying to be a stay at home mom most of the time. But as my children grew older, and knowing that my career choice many years ago was not a reflection of who I truly was, I decided to follow my heart and pursue a Masters degree in Spanish Linguistics.

On December of 2015, I graduated from New Mexico State University with a Masters degree in Spanish Linguistics. Courses such as History of the Spanish Language, Spanish Advanced Phonetics, Spanish Morphosyntax, Bilingualism, Spanish among Heritage Language Learners, and Spanish Translation, among others, helped me strengthen my strong speaking and writing skills in the Spanish Language. This attained knowledge was exactly what I needed to take my lifelong experience speaking Spanish into a whole new level.

I can confidently tell you that I feel very capable in delivering a quality product that will speak positively of your business and will make you proud. My upbringing as a native Spanish speaker, my college and job-related experiences, as well as my developed relationships through the years with other US Latinos, are a unique blend of experiences that speak for themselves.

Email is my preferred method of communication. I normally charge .12 cents/word, but an hourly rate may be negotiable as well.
