I am a communications professional and English content specialist with over two decades of experience in journalism, development communication, and editorial work.

My Professional Journey:
I began my career in the newsrooms of Delhi, learning the ropes as a Sub Editor with The Pioneer and later, The Statesman. I went on to lead the copy desk for the Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir editions of Hindustan Times, mastering the art of editing under pressure and tight deadlines.

My transition into the development sector was driven by a desire to tell stories that matter. As a Communications Manager with organisations like Tata Steel Foundation, Malaria No More, and currently with WASSAN, I have created content that highlights the resilience, innovation, and aspirations of people working at the grassroots. From success stories and press releases to annual reports and video scripts, I have crafted a wide range of communication materials to inform stakeholders and influence change.

I also served as the Editor of The Good Sight, a magazine that curates development stories from across India, where I led editorial planning and worked with a team of writers and designers to deliver meaningful, well-crafted editions every month.

Anecdotes and Beyond Work:
I still remember the thrill of my first field visit with Tata Steel Foundation—meeting tribal women in Odisha who had transformed their lives through collective farming. Their voices, often unheard, reminded me why storytelling is more than a profession—it is a responsibility.

My editorial journey has also taught me the importance of listening—whether to a government official at a review meeting or a farmer explaining millet cultivation techniques. These experiences have shaped my writing to be both grounded and thoughtful.

Interests and Hobbies:
Outside of work, I enjoy exploring traditional and tribal cultures, watching documentaries, and reading books. I also dabble in creative writing, sketching, and have a fondness for local music and food.

Hours of Operation:
I am available for freelance work Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM (IST).
I occasionally accommodate urgent tasks or weekend work with prior notice.
