Dana Jarvis is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran with expertise in learning and development, talent management and organizational development. His mission is to help people and organizations advance towards their potential. Dana has made strides on his mission with work as a HR Director, Management Consultant, Adjunct Professor and Regional Organizational Development Consultant. Projects Dana has led include Leadership Development Initiatives (online and face-to-face), Performance Management Systems, Market Analysis Studies, a Shared Services Study, Employee Engagement Processes, Instructional Design & Development, Team Building Activities, Veteran Career Services and a Cultural Values Venture, among others. As an enthusiast of the “People & Technology Intersection”, Dana wrote the 7 Essentials for Managing Virtual Teams (University Readers, 2010), designed and developed courses on virtual teams and presented at the 2010 Human Resources Professionals Association (largest HR association in Canada). In addition, he created the CareerStar Accelerator, which builds a personal career brand within an integrated social media approach. Over the years, Dana’s social media presence has expanded throughout the online world with pro bono models focused in areas including leadership, diversity, teams and career development. Dana has a Bachelor of Arts from Allegheny College, along with a Master of Public Administration and a Master of Social Work earned at the University of Pittsburgh. He is a volunteer coach for youth wrestling and youth baseball.
