I retired as the IT Manager for the Hyatt Regency in Austin, Texas and am now a writer and independent publisher and have been publishing books since the 1980s. Mostly I publish books for Austin authors, but I work with authors across the country. To date, I’ve published over eighty print and ebooks, but presently my publishing business is quite slow.

Mainly I write non-fiction about business and woodworking, but during 2014 I took a bold step and wrote a book on relationship. It was something I had thought about for years and had always feared doing. I found “Relationship: Notes on Love, Mutual Respect, Boundaries, Marriage, and Divorce” difficult but fun to write and, to my surprise, it received great reviews and received an Honorable Mention in the Reader’s Favorite contest. With my publishing business being so slow at present, I'm exploring other writing potential that doesn't require investment in publishing and marketing.

Work Terms

I normally work on my writing and publishing Monday through Saturday from about 10 a.m. until about 4 p.m. I’m semi-retired, so I do take days off often, but I always deliver on my commitments. I prefer payment in advance unless an agency holds the funds in escrow. My rate for publishing related work is $60 per hour in various increments. For other work, I will adjust my rate.
