I think I am the best choice because I really understand the Internet as a digital marketing platform.
You have to go back to the early commercialization of the Internet. In the mid-90’s I was lucky enough to experience websites with very high traffic volume. Unlike today this volume came at a high operating price. The cost of bandwidth created a fine line between profit and disaster.
The goal was to convert this mass amount of “free”traffic into paid monthly memberships. How do you do this? Google analytics is still 8 years away from being created. (Launch date November 14, 2005)
The answer was studying raw server logs to get insight of what website visitors actually do on the website. This started my path to pioneering such fields of SEO, content marketing, conversion optimization, traffic segments and target marketing. Ever wonder why you get pop ups and pop unders, bots, email. All of these methods were created out of need to generate a profit and offset bandwidth costs. Flash forward all these years and you will see that these methods have become more mainstream.
I am compatible with a wide range of personalities and ideologies. As the digital marketing director at Ad Web Designs, I could meet with someone like Larry Flint at Hustler on Monday and have a meeting with our Attorneys General, Grant Woods the next day.
