Experience in retirement and employee benefits as well as personal financial planning spanning more than 35 years. Areas of expertise are in consulting related to regulatory compliance for retirement plans and health and welfare benefits. Focus areas include development of ERISA Summary Plan Descriptions for retirement and health and welfare benefit programs, consulting and documentation for Health Care Reform, COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA/HITECH, as well as Sections 125, 132 and 223 of the Internal Revenue Code.

Prior to the formation of my own business, served as Vice President, Corporate Secretary and Treasurer for a privately held brokerage and consulting firm in Pittsburgh where she was also Plan Administrator and Trustee for the organizations’ pension and welfare benefit plans. Resume also includes management of a Defined Contribution Plan Unit of a Pittsburgh actuarial consulting firm, having direct involvement in all aspects of pension consulting and administration.
In addition to working as an adjunct professor at Duquesne University’s School of Business in Pittsburgh and formerly Georgetown University in Washington, DC, I have conducted continuing education seminars for accountants, lawyers and licensed insurance professionals at various colleges and universities in the Pittsburgh and Philadelphia area.
Served as Chairman of the Board of Advisors for the Certified Financial Planning Program at Duquesne University and on the Board of Advisors at Robert Morris University for the Economics, Law, and Social Services Department.
BS degree in Finance and earned the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) professional designation.
