About

Cutting through your data to deliver solutions

Blade Consulting, LLC was founded with the intention of helping businesses adapt their operation to the latest improvement tools and methods. The idea originated as a result of going through the Six Sigma certification process, during my graduate studies. The tools and principles I am learning could have a large impact on the bottom line for many small companies.

In addition to running Blade Consulting, I am the Engineering Manger for a small oilfield service company. I founded the engineering department with this company in 2014. Before that, they had no engineering. They didn't necessarily need engineering, but there was a demand on there on the customer side. Initially, I started with providing engineering services to customers. We went from 0 engineering capability to consulting on projects for super-major operators in deepwater Gulf of Mexico.

In the middle of building the engineering department, I decided to add on to my bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a master's degree. The best degree for me was Louisiana Tech's Master of Science in Engineering and Technology Management. I still have a few classes left to take, but I've learned a lot of valuable material during my studies.

My industry experience and academic knowledge provide a full picture of how to help business improve. I've been blending the two to expand my current role as engineering manager. Where I was initially tasked with consulting on external projects, I'm now more involved on internal projects. Specifically, I provide easy-to-use, technological-advanced solutions (often based in Excel). One large part of my job has become mediating with outside firms to take their long, overly technical information and present it to upper management in a clear, concise manner.
