You can design and create, and build the most wonderful place in the world. But it takes people to make the dream a reality. - Walt Disney
Hello, My name is Brad and I am a qualified draftsperson based in Sydney, Australia.
I started drafting in 2007 with one of the worlds leading Facade design and construction sub contractors. By 2011 I had successfully completed my apprenticeship/trainee-ship with this company and attained a Certificate 3 in Detail Drafting from TAFE NSW. This training covered a number of different drafting disciplines which allows me to understand a more holistic approach to a design project.
Since starting in the industry I have spent time working with 4 facade/ glazing companies as a designer and more recently a Project Design Leader. As a Design Leader I am in charge of developing the design intent sketches and details with the Architect and then working with a team of AutoCAD drafters to produce the complete shop drawing package for the Facade works. I then am responsible for cross checking fabrication drawings with the details to ensure parts are cut, machined to the correct shapes and sizes.
Over this time I have had a great deal of exposure to AutoCAD software and have a comprehensive understanding of many functions within the software. These include but not limited to: External References, Blocks (Dynamic Blocks also), Annotative objects and attributes.
Given my experience across multiple organisations I am adaptive in using provided templates and sheet set-ups or am capable of setting these up from scratch as needed.
Outside of the drafting experience I have also completed Excel 2010 Intermediate Level training and have great understanding of many Excel features. I am well-versed in working on large spreadsheets with a range of functions.
Should you like some further information on my knowledge and experience do not hesitate to contact me.
Work Terms
Due to full time employment commitments my hours of operation are limited to after 8pm (Sydney Time) through the week and variable on weekends. Generally I can achieve anywhere between 6-10hrs of work time per 7 days.
I am willing to provide progress updates as frequent as the individual project requires.
I work in AutoCAD 2014 for all drafting work.
As I am not a qualified engineer I would expect that what I draw for you will be checked if not already specified by a certified engineer. My qualification is a designer only, I can provide suggested details based on my experience but I will expect an engineers review arranged by yourself.
Any further information you require, please contact me.
