I am a perfectionist who reads daily, and there is nothing that will remove you from a story quicker than poor editing.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree and read daily. I have always been great at spotting typos and basic errors in punctuation and grammar. I was the go-to person in high school and college for proofreading. I have done proofreading for a number of self-published and professionally published authors. To quote a specific published author, "You have an incredible eye. You’re actually catching things that I missed (and I work hard to catch every typo) and several editors missed. I tweaked my editing process this time around with the hope of alleviating any and all typos, but I obviously didn’t reach the objective of producing an error-free manuscript. The typos you flagged will be corrected. I'll be back in touch with you when I am ready for you to proofread my next novel.
