As an Illustrator I focus on realism, but not photographic copies. I love America's Golden Age of Illustration and strive to bring that feel to my work with a touch of the modern.

Hi, my name is Brett Davis. I live and work in Amarillo, Texas. I have have formal art training and degrees from Texas Tech University and the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. My original goal was to break into the animation industry, however, for various reasons that didn't work out (my animation work can be seen at (www.brettdavisanimator.com and http://brettdavisanimation.blogspot.com/ for my traditional work), and I have shifted my focus to Illustration, Concept Art and Fine Art. I've had experience in videogames, working as a QA Tester for Electronic Arts for two years, so I know how to get things done on a fast paced schedule.

I love art, especially America's Golden Age of Illustration, which includes work from artists like Dean Cornwell, J.C. Leyendecker, Walter Baumhofer, James Bama, and Norman Rockwell. I'm always collecting art books to inspire me and have a body of work at my fingertips only once available in museums. I also love toys and videogames, so I'm surrounded with creativity.

Most of all, I love the Lord, my beautiful wife, and two boys. They're the reason I am able to create art in the first place. I do it for them, and myself.

Work Terms

I am a stay-at-home dad, so my schedule is a little varied from day to day, but my work hours will mostly be during the day, with some night time work (after kids are in bed). When I'm working on your project, I'll dedicate my time to that work.
