To provide robust cost effective solutions based on industry standards and FreeSoftware.
I have been a professional BSD/LINUX/Unix systems administrator and engineer for over 30 years. I have worked with almost every flavor of Unix on the planet in that time and my clients have included the FBI, United States Navy, United States Air Force, Chase Bank, Citibank, Mcgraw-Hill, HSBC, CIBC and numerous small and medium sized businesses.
I am active in the development of FreeBSD on the ARM platform by providing testing and feedback of the leading edge source tree (current) as well as minor bug fixes.
I am an expert in programming in /bin/sh (as well as KSH and BASH). I can also program in awk, perl, C, basic, basic09, and fortran. I pick up new programming languages as needed for projects. I work in a POSIX environment and as such take the approach that the language to use for any project is the one most suited to the platform and project. Unix is a rich toolbox and I make use of all the tools to produce the best solution at minimal monetary and time investment.
