About

A young computer science student from Jamaica had a passion for technology and a deep-rooted faith. Growing up in a Christian family, she learned early the importance of hard work, honesty, and humility. Now, as she navigated the complex world of coding and algorithms, she brought these values into her studies.

Every morning before class, she would sit quietly, reading her Bible and praying for guidance. She faced unique challenges: limited resources, outdated software, and, at times, skepticism from those who didn't understand her faith. But she saw her path in tech as a way to serve others, often drawing strength from the verse, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord." This scripture became her anchor.

In her final year, she took on a project that combined her love for coding and her desire to give back. She decided to develop an app to connect local churches with community needs, such as tutoring for children, food drives, and disaster relief efforts. The project was ambitious, but she felt led by God every step of the way.

Her professors were impressed by her dedication, and her classmates admired her faith, even if they didn’t fully understand it. After countless late nights of coding and prayer, she finally launched the app, which soon became widely used across communities, fostering a new sense of unity.

Though she hasn’t graduated yet, she feels her journey has only just begun. She is eager to continue using her skills to build technology that uplifts communities and spreads hope—a purpose she knows is far greater than any line of code.
