Brock Nicol was born and raised in Ottawa,Ontario Canada where he lives and works as a full time illustrator.
He started drawing cartoons and comics at the age of eight. By the age of nine he was already painting with oil paints.
He has worked as an illustrator for over 20 years now, doing a variety of illustrations from books and magazines to courtroom illustration. 
Brock cites American illustrators, Norman Rockwell and Tom Lovell as artists who have influenced his work.
 
Brock works in his sunny studio in Ottawa where he works illustrating digitally, as well as oils, pen and ink, and pencil.

Work Terms

I will first start out with a series of rough sketches to get a feel for what you are looking for. Next will be a tight sketch after any corrections have been made. . And then finally onto the final illustration.

In terms of payment ,I prefer to be paid 50% after final sketches are approved, and 50% after the final art is approved. Each job is different so I am flexible so it works for both of us.

I do have a standard contract that I work with, but I'm willing to consider signing a contract that a client uses.
