Materials & Processing Scientist, Engineer
I have a diverse background in materials, processing, and mechanical engineering, and a history of tackling difficult projects over aggressive timeframes. I have developed materials systems for extreme environment durability and sealing technologies in the aerospace industry. I am a subject matter expert in thermal spray technologies, but also have experience with structural materials and failure analysis- metallic, ceramic, and composite. I hold a Ph.D. and Master's in Materials Science and Engineering, and a Bachelor's in Aerospace Engineering.
I am extremely passionate about design engineering at the intersection of materials, manufacturing, and mechanical engineering. I thoroughly enjoy difficult and unorthodox problems, and have considerable experience in the early-intermediate phases of product development (TRL/MRL 1-5). My focus is, and always has been, upon designing materials and systems in a way that they can be easily, reliably, and economically commercially produced.
My interest in consulting arises from a desire to broaden my experience. I truly enjoy interacting with others, and find it very rewarding to aid them in achieving their goals. As I am employed full time, I'm not interested in leading large projects, but would be happy to consult on a one-time, recurring, or scheduled basis! I'm happy to travel if needed, and if I don't have the requisite knowledge or experience to fit your needs, I'd one glad to aid in connecting you with someone who does.
Work Terms
I'm available from 8AM-10PM EST, though after 5 is preferred. I will bill hourly with payment deliverable weekly. Up front consultation and establishment of scope is not billed.
