Polishing your publicity
I used to be a software engineer who helped end-users create chemically aware documents, spreadsheets and databases.
I left to study language and linguistics, which had always been a passion of mine, ever since I consistently got top marks in spelling tests at primary school, where we also learnt about grammar.
I have marked exams taken by candidates in all levels of English for speakers of other languages, which takes a lot of concentration and dedication. I have to admit, I was pretty good at it.
I can't help but spot spelling, grammar and punctuation errors in published books, signs, notices, marketing materials. Let me spot your errors before you publish.
I am an entry-level member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP).
