My mission and promise is to produce high quality and appropriate written English for every project I take on. My aim is to please the customer first time, every time.
As an English national and copywriter for around 25 years, I've successfully experienced almost every form or copywriting, proofreading and editing there is. That’s my strength, the wealth and years of experience I have. I've written for magazines, in blogs, websites, flyers, leaflets, brochures, letters, posters, and even technical and legal documents.
A rare skill I've perfected over these 25 years is the ability to write equally well for different audiences and using different medias. For example, when I write travel blog articles, I use a light, friendly and chatty tone. In contrast, official letters I've written for businesses are naturally in a more serious, almost legal tone. It's something many writers struggle with, switching from one style of writing to another, but something I find easy, and very satisfying.
Working as a communications consultant for Zurich Financial Services for 15 years, I wrote and edited hundreds of documents, websites and promotional marketing flyers, leaflets, brochures, posters and much more.
In late 2006 I decided to take the Marketing Manager position at a small new company who, through Lloyd's of London, sell international high-risk insurance to people going to dangerous places, like Iraq or Afghanistan. Fascinating of course, but being a new company they had almost no useful, well-written marketing material or web content. I worked solidly for around 18 months and produced everything they needed to succeed. All their letters, flyers, brochures and web content - even their business cards and letterheads. They now have several offices in the UK and Middle East, with dozens of staff.
Now I have my own successful businesses in The Philippines managed by my wife, with just a little guidance from me. So I use the free time I have to indulge in my passion, writing!
Several years ago I completed and passed a Postgraduate Certificate in Strategic Marketing (PgCert), at the same academic level as a Master's Degree.

I'll work and communicate at times and in a way to suit each customer. We'll discuss and agree these terms beforehand.
