My name is Calvin Daniel. I am a Web Developer living in the Bronx. I have been working for 8 years now within Wiley in the Product Operations department. As such, I have been involved in many projects in the digital environment and have done countless testing and design mock-ups in regards to user interface and user experience.
My responsibilities include the research and develop of new technologies the company could potentially leverage for its customer facing products.. Along with that, I have been charged with leading several projects which have required extensive work in HTML5, CSS3, jQuery and JavaScript in order to meet customer needs, as well making myself familiar with proprietary software and CMS programs like WordPress. I have served as a Tech Lead on a project last year to develop a responsive UI and interface for our customer facing application, WileyPLUS. I am now working as project lead for the company’s utilization of a tool called WalkMe. WalkMe is a tool that provides walkthroughs and quick help for users to better understand how to perform the task they our interested in on whatever website they may be browsing.
Experience has taught me how to build strong relationships with all departments at an organization. I have the ability to work within teams in my own field of expertise, as well as to work in groups where I am the only one in my field and have to bridge the gap in language that is used.
Work Terms
I am available mostly in evenings for actual development work, but meetings and face time are flexible for me. I am available via phone or e-mail. I will most likely provide any mock ups or design/development questions via e-mail.
