Making Impressions @ Work
Joy Mouton is a motivator, educator, and the author of Workplace Recipes: Coping with Unemployment and the Job You Hate; an entertaining book, geared to lovingly encourage transitioning job seekers and those who have fallen out of love. She created the book to chronicle the events and resources needed for job seekers as a guide to answer the lingering question, “What’s next?” The book comes in handy as she provides consulting and professional development training to businesses, students, job seekers, and staff with career solutions firm, Career Wit. Some of her clients include LAMIK Cosmetics/ Macy's and Belhaven University. When not training and coaching, Joy teaches over 20 different types of courses in business, industrial psychology, retail, and career development. She is degreed twice having earned a master’s degree in Business Administration. Prior to working in education, human resources, and consulting, Joy spent time working as a district manager and supervisor with large companies like, General Electric. She has held memberships in multiple professional associations including the Society of Human Resource Management and the National Career Development Association. With a varied work background, Joy has proven to be versatile to work with all. Whether within the workplace, with clients, or within the classroom, her greatest joy is helping others reach greater heights through inspiring us all to find “joy” in every journey.
