About

After graduating from college I was hired by a non-profit family camp as a full charge bookkeeper. I was responsible for AP, AR, Payroll, donations, new hire packets, financial reporting, assisting with budgeting and all account reconciliation. While there I implemented new internal controls, a new Point of Sale system for better inventory and revenue reporting; I also wrote the accounting procedure manual.
I consulted for a contracting company, entering a year of accounting records into Quickbooks, reconciled accounts and closed the year for taxes. I continued to keep the company books.
I consulted for an internet service provider, moving the company file from Quickbooks to Xero. Before data migration I reconciled, updated and closed the file. After migration I found and fixed errors and continued to keep company books.
I was temporarily Deputy Treasurer of a small village. While there I collected property taxes, processed AP and AR and assisted the CPA in FY closing to prepare for the biennial audit.
I was bookkeeper for a wedding chapel in Las Vegas, processing AP and AR, as well as completing ad hoc projects in the accounting department at year end close.
