"I have never let schooling interfere with my education."
-Mark Twain
I am a stay at home freelance conceptual artist/illustrator, graphic designer, and sculptor, fiction writer. I am a stay at home dad, I work from home to help care for my girlfrien'ds son who is moderate/severely autistic and epileptic. Working from home allows me to help ease the burden and burnout on her. It's not an easy job, but he is my world. We live in Western North Carolina, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains about 45 minutes from the Biltmore Estate in Asheville.
I can do most imaging needs. I do both digital and traditional mediums, pretty much anything but oils currently. I also sculpt a bit traditionally and I just got my hands on Zbrush last week. I absolutely love modeling and I am seeking a job in Tabletop games and miniatures. I am currently a student at The Academy of Art University in San Francisco, majoring in visual development for conceptual art and illustrations for video games and movies, etc. I am having to teach myself to use Maya and Zbrush, as it is not part of my curriculum for my degree but my instructors (Francis Hsu to be exact, thanks man!!) made sure I got my hands on a student license. I enjoy it very much and I am glad they nudged me in that general direction. The instructors at AAU are absolutely fantastic and they have compounded on my skills in ways I never thought possible.
