Enthusiastic, passionate and experienced publicist and writer.
Casey is an Austin-based freelance communications specialist with over a decade of experience working as a publicist in-house and at agencies.
After seven years of New York City life, a road trip in spring 2011 led Casey to Austin, Texas, and she has happily called the capital city home ever since. Over the past four years in central Texas she has had the opportunity to create relationships while publicizing local and regional brands from the fields of hospitality, business/tech, publishing, entertainment, and events.
Casey's career in Manhattan included working at Madison Square Garden managing the day-to-day public relations, community relations, and new media efforts for the New York Liberty for four WNBA seasons. She also served as a publicist for national client accounts across the arts/entertainment, publishing, lifestyle, technology, and sports industries while at Rubenstein Associates and Four Corners Communications. Her introduction to working with members of the press came via media relations internships with the Boston Celtics, Women’s Sports Foundation, and NYC2012, the committee that bid for the 2012 Olympic Games in New York City.
Throughout her career she has secured national media placements on NBC, CBS, Fox, ESPN, CNN, Fox News Channel, MSNBC, Fox Sports, and NPR, as well as in The New York Times, New York Daily News, Austin Business Journal, Austin American-Statesman, The Austin Chronicle, SportsBusiness Journal, and Newsweek. She has also had her writing published in Advertising Age.
