Work Terms

Payment Terms: Payment is due upon receipt of the final proofread document, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. For large projects, a deposit may be required.

Cancellations: Cancellations must be made within 1 hour of project confirmation. Late cancellations may incur a fee based on the amount of work completed.

Liability: While every effort is made to ensure accuracy, I am not liable for any errors that remain after my client’s final approval or for any subsequent loss or damages resulting from such errors.

Client Responsibilities: The client is responsible for providing the final, complete document and any specific style guides or instructions before proofreading begins.

Communication: All communication will be conducted via guru.com or agreed-upon platforms. Response times may vary, but efforts will be made to address queries within 24 hours.

File Formats: Documents should be submitted in docx, .pdf format unless otherwise specified. Any conversion required may result in additional charges.

Service Scope: Proofreading services include checking and correcting grammar, punctuation, spelling, syntax, and basic formatting. The service does not include rewriting, content creation, or in-depth editing unless specifically agreed upon.

Turnaround Time: Standard turnaround time is around 4-6 pages per hour, or 1625 words per hour. For longer documents or expedited services, additional fees may apply.
