Specializes in traditional illustration and enjoys using all mediums!
I studied Illustration at California College of the Arts in San Francisco, and currently live in the Bay Area.
I teach art after school to children at a Montessori school in Oakland. I'm constantly finding inspiration in working with kids.
I'm from San Diego, where I grew up surfing and enjoying the beautiful outdoors and sunshine! I love hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, and swimming.
I love doing Editorial Illustration, as I enjoy thinking up clever images that read quickly. I also like Children's book illustration and feel my style fits well with those types of projects. Picture books were extremely important to me as a child, and I'd like to be an inspiration to kids through my artwork.
I love portraits and drawing people and faces!
I feel that every illustration job is different and calls for a different medium, which is why I try to experiment and learn ALL mediums, from pen/ink, rubber stamp making, paper cutting, working on wood or fabric, or watercolor!
Work Terms
I work on an hourly basis, $25 an hour.
I first create sketches, black and white, and upon approval will move to color sketch ideas.
Once those are approved I will move to the final piece.
Planning, sketching, and finalizing illustrations are what I define as paid time.
I request two revisions per sketch and no more. This is to prevent constant revisions and tasks that are added on to the initial job agreement.
