Hello! I'm Cassie. I grew up in Wisconsin, but after college I moved up to Minneapolis. I love animals more than anything, and I would love to help them out through my writing. I've loved to read and write for as long as I can remember, so being able to make that my career would be great!
From Sept. 2015 through May 2018, I worked in my University's Web Communications department completing requests for clients and making edits to the University website. This position also included creating web pages and fixing broken links.
After college, the Associate Dean of the College of Liberal Arts reached out with a contract offer for the Liberal Arts website and department websites, so I continued making suggestions and updates to improve the overall look and feel of the websites.
My Applied & Professional Writing minor required an internship, so I worked in the Writing Center on campus as a tutor. I was also editor-in-chief of our campus chapter of Her Campus. This position included proofreading and editing other members' articles to ensure grammatical and factual correctness. In addition, I wrote my own articles on various topics.
