Catherine Brown is currently living in British Columbia, Canada. She is a graduate of the Secondary Teaching Education Program at the University of British Columbia and is a certified high school teacher in British Columbia. Catherine has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology as well as a bachelor’s degree in Education with a specialization in French. She has also upgraded her teaching qualifications with the addition of a Teaching English as a Second Language certificate through Okanagan College. Along with an interest in languages, she has had a life-long interest in such things as Ringette, Highland Dance, and many different crafts. She enjoys popular culture and always tries to make the link between the academic world and the world of popular culture. She has been supply teaching locally as well as in London, England. As well as being a native English speaker, Catherine is fluent in French and has familiarity in Spanish and Japanese. She loves to travel and has been to Japan, China, England, France, Spain, and Scotland, but is always looking for the next adventure.
