Chad enjoys keeping startup founder's dreams alive by leveraging his extensive experience in business finance and operations.
Chad has an extensive track record of driving innovation, mitigating risk, and developing staff. From large organizations to start ups, Chad has shown success in building partnerships, managing costs, growing revenue, and driving value through analysis.
Chad began his accounting and finance career at Disney where his efforts focused on the video game and online division. Here Chad learned about royalty revenue and participations. Chad then progressed to roles tracking marketing and game production spend and further diversified into general overhead accounting. Working at Disney gave Chad exposure to a wide range of challenges associated with intellectual properties and challenges unique to large public companies. It also provided a great opportunity to develop excel proficiencies and gain experience with SAP.
Chad then transitioned to Saban Brands (the company who owned intellectual properties such as the Power Rangers and Paul Frank). His initial responsibilities focused on royalties and participations but quickly grew to also oversee the accounts payable function. Chad was very proud to lead the implementation of Basware (an e-invoicing solution), streamline the purchase order request forms, and consolidate two credit card programs to one. Eventually Chad was asked to oversee the entire accounting function. This included managing external audits and maintaining various banking relationships. He also handled forecasts from revenue through cost of sales. In May 2018, it was announced that Saban would be selling the Power Rangers to Hasbro. As a result, the decision was made to wind down the company. Chad agreed to stay on for the next couple years to help wrap up the remaining operations.
Today Chad enjoys leveraging his large and small company experience through advising startups and entrepreneurs. He also serves as a fractional CFO and Board Member for a few companies.
