Developmental editor and copy editor
During my 10+ years as a detail-oriented professional editor, I have had the privilege of writing and editing everything from steamy romance to true crime, non-fiction to thriller.
I am open to all styles and genres and have a deep appreciation for outrageous humor and the occasional (fictional) stabbing.
Work Terms
All manuscript revisions, comments, queries, and suggestions are made via MS Word Track Changes or Google Docs.
All ghostwriting requests are evaluated and priced on an individual basis with exact turnaround times provided. All agreed deadlines will be met without exception.
Multiple revisions and reviews are by special request only.
Reader's Report: No marks will be made on the manuscript; however, an edit letter that outlines the highlights of the story, as well as any issues which exist, will be provided.
Basic Copy Editing: Focuses on spelling, grammar, clichés, and basic punctuation with all revisions made via MS Word. The larger plot, character development, and pace issues may be identified. A style sheet will be provided.
Developmental Editing: Includes a Basic Copy Edit and focuses on plot, character development, story structure, book structure, and pace. All revisions are made via MS Word. A style sheet that includes structural notes and an overall review will be provided with the completed markup. For all identified issues suggestions and/or examples will be provided.
