My name is Stormie. I am 31 years old. I have had quite an interesting, but sad, life. Going through a lot of severe abuse, being a teen runaway, fighting breast cancer, it's not been an easy life. I found that the only way I could escape the way that I was feeling about everything going on in my life, was to write. I kept a journal and would write for hours at a time. Once I started writing, it was as if I just couldn't stop. Writing healed my heart in a way nothing else could ever do. After a while, it became more than just a release for me, it became my life. I love to write and am told quite often that I write very well. I have won awards for my writing, one being an Editor's Choice Award for a poem I wrote called, A Soldier's Prayer. I am currently working on writing my first book to have published and I am so excited about it! Writing is not just a job for me, it is a gift.
