I have always been drawn to helping people, but never could find the right avenue to fulfill that desire. The beginning of my professional life included a variety of jobs in customer service, retail, grocery, and food service.

I initially went to college for business management with the goal of becoming a CEO. I figured at that level I could have a significant impact on working conditions and employee appreciation. When I graduated and took on my first big-time management job, I was sorely disappointed with the experience. My job did not really help anyone and left me feeling like a cog in the wheel, not a game-changer.

Therefore, I decided to go back to school for accounting so that I could do something that I truly enjoyed while also helping people along the way. After a much more enjoyable second round of college, I began my career as a Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper. Since owning my own business had always been the plan, I eventually decided to take the leap and open my own bookkeeping company.

Now, I am finally able to live my dreams while helping other people to live theirs.
