During my twenty something years on earth, I have come to understand that we are simply just a collection of stories that we have heard, and stories we have told ourselves.

My name is Iroegbu Chinaemerem Oti, and I am a writer. In my mastery of writing and communications, I have come to understand that communication can only be effective when the questions: what to say, when to say it, how to say it, and most importantly to whom it should be said, has been answered. These questions are the crux of communication, without which, it will be docile; and my experience as a writer at Ventures Africa, and a PR personnel at Hill+Knowlton Strategies (H+K), has helped me hone my mastery in answering these questions time and time again.
At H+K I displayed creativity in transforming static news into conversations, bypassing traditional media to speak directly to my target audience, online and in print; using social media, blogs, reviews, and content to not just share news, but create sustainable dialogues. I have also demonstrated skills in problem-solving, complemented by a track record of delivering completed projects on schedule. This was also proven during my stint at Hill+Knowlton Strategies (H+K) where I combined traditional PR and content marketing in campaigns and brand management.

My roles were:
Developing PR plans and communication strategies for product rollouts, events, and announcements.
Developing and repurposing content into articles, blogs, infographics, to transform the news into an engaging viewpoint, in order to serve a fast-paced audience.
Working closely with team members, to develop proposals for new business; tailoring them to suit receiving business messaging and goals.

In an increasingly digitalized world, the internet has become the nexus of communication, and luckily, I understand the necessary tool to disseminate information, digitally. Writing/Communications is more than building relationships, securing placements, or creating content, there is also the important aspect of SEO and link building which provides tangible results and insight on product popularity and visibility.
