I make your computers work.
Programmer by design, sysadmin by trade. I write code for fun and make your computers work for ... work. I work with developers to understand the code, managers to understand the business, and maybe other staff and even customers to understand what they need IT to provide, then provide it.
I can implement a one-off process, such as the test centre database backend I designed for Apple that they could copy to their other sites, or take full responsibility long-term (in a team of course) for a global system and its growth and constant uptime, as I did for the startup CloudBeds. I understand source code and don't shy away from writing and even documenting it.
If your business needs a sysadmin then let's make a deal. If you have a compelling project or need help with a charitable cause then let's talk about special rates. I work with enterprise, startup, individual or charity. No job is too large or too small.
Work Terms
As a rule of thumb for most regular projects, work remotely @ 8 hours per day, £50($65)/hour. But sysadmin is a 24 hour job no matter what so the regular rules simply don't apply. Let's discuss your needs first.
