I'm a published writer, editor and content strategist with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education and marketing and advertising industries.
I’m a published writer, editor and content strategist. I have over five years of experience working in higher education at a liberal arts university, Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU), in San Diego. I remain grateful for my time there because I not only developed my skills as a writer, editor and content strategist, but also uncovered a deep sense of mission for using my writing and creative abilities to impact other organizations, companies, institutions, and, yes, even the world for good. I’m passionate about communicating ideas and stories in strategic and meaningful projects, and enjoy doing so in collaboration with others.
In fact, it’s this same passion for writing, telling stories, and sharing ideas that led me to New England, where I’m currently a part-time graduate student at Brown University. I’m thankful for the opportunity to attend a great school and hone my abilities as a writer, reader, communicator, and critical thinker. Before graduate school and PLNU, I had roles as a marketing specialist and business operations analyst, which both provided me with valuable business and professional experience that continues to help me today. And before that I graduated from UCLA with two BAs in English and Economics.
Aside from copywriting, editorial writing and content strategy, I also write fiction. I would add that I’m a fan of the usual: reading good fiction and non-fiction, listening to music (both old and new), watching the latest Rotten-Tomatoes-acclaimed film or television series and — like most writers despite the cliché — frequenting local cafés with the best ambience and brewed coffee. I always enjoy time spent with friends and family, especially when it involves good food and drinks. And I remain a devoted (though often disappointed) fan of UCLA football, play beach volleyball when the weather permits, and have the propensity to lose myself for hours in deep conversations with other curious people.
Work Terms
I am flexible with how I work with clients and am happy to discuss working terms with clients on a case by case basis.
