My career started ankle-deep in water in a basement in Los Angeles. I was working on a big case for a small IP law firm, and the bankers’ boxes containing all the tens of thousands of documents for our case were soaked through from the entire contents of the fountain in front of the building. I spent weeks drying out the documents, then after the partners made the decision that we had to go digital, I spent several more weeks standing in front of a scanner, digitizing the documents, and working with our IT team to process them into a Concordance database for the case team to review. A few weeks later, I joined a forensic team and the police in a dawn raid, which turned into a crash course on forensic collections and electronic data processing.
Over nearly two decades, I have continued building skills and experience as a Litigation Support Analyst in Am Law 50 firms, then Senior Project Manager at KLDiscovery, which prepared me precisely to understand and implement eDiscovery workflows. In addition, my ten years of team leadership have further developed my ability to lead teams and collaborate with departmental and executive leadership in a dynamic and complex organization.
