I write blogs, essays, newspaper articles and science papers, where I can put my many years of scientific training and original thinking to good use for publication.
I became a geologist and meteorologist from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg South Africa in 1980. I worked for the South African Geological Survey for two years doing microscopic rock sample analysis. I left to start my own water well drilling and electrical resistivity business to locate water wells for clients in South Africa in the drought that then gripped the country. When the drought ended in 1987, I joined a life insurance company selling life insurance and investment products. I became my own broker in 1990 and sold life insurance, disability, long term care, critical illness products as well as mutual funds, IRA'S, pension and hedge funds.
I came to the USA with my family in 2003 and my wife and I became citizens in 2009 and 2010.
I have worked in life insurance and health insurance in the USA. I have worked on oil and gas rigs in California from 2005 to 2007.
I worked in Environmental geology in 2007 and 2008. I published geological, chemical and thermodynamic papers for The Association of Environmental and Engineering Geology and for The American Institute of Professional Geologists(AIPG) in 2009 and 2010.
This work covered how the Earth makes oil, gas and coal inorganically from carbon water and hydrogen sulfide and that these fossil fuels are inorganic and not made from fossils. Fossils are preserved in oil and coal, but oil and coal are not made from plankton and dead trees. Fishes or trees preserved in rocks today can be dug up and made of sandstone, mudstone, limestone or coal. The preservative material does not create the fossil.
Other published papers for the AIPG were in Planetary Geology on the tidal relationship between Jupiter and Saturn and the sunspot cycle, spin coupling of sun's, planets and moons to drive planetary heating and alternating magnetic fields to create planetary and stellar rings.
